“As we are approaching the 65th Anniversary of Hiroshima/Nagasaki, I am grateful that I have opportunity to share my journey of ‘REVENGE TO FORGIVENESS” at Lawrence Livermore (progenitor of atomic bomb) by the invitation of Livermore Peace Action Committee (Anti-Nuke organization) on August 6, 2010.  And, one of dearest friends has arranged the meeting for me to speak at North Berkeley Senior Center on August 9 (at noon?) and I also have the opportunity to share my story of forgiveness with peace origami cranes and butterflies in honoring Sadako at Berkeley Public Library on August 9, at 4:00 pm through 6:30 pm.

Takashi has written one book that is currently being made into a screenplay for a feature film.  He is completing his second book, based on the teaching of his father.  The book Urban Samurai is focused toward youth.

Our Mother Earth is experiencing great shifts and it is time to invite the wisdom of our indigenous peoples to communicate and connect with Her wisdom. John “Wadude” Laird, M.D. is Dean of the University of Spiritual Healing and Sufism in Pope Valley, California. He received his medical degree from Dartmouth and in addition to his deep loving presence, he is a master healer and teacher. Wadude will lead a Sufi Zikr as his contribution to our World Wisdom series.

Bring a friend, some food and a sense of fun fellowship for the 4th Annual Old Fashion BBQ Potluck at Unity of Berkeley this Sunday, July 25th, directly after Sunday Service (noon-ish).

On the grill, there will be pork ribs, chicken, beef, salmon, apple chicken sausages and even hot dogs for the kids! Unity will also supply assorted drinks and vegetarian fair for the non-meat eaters.

So what potluck dish should you bring? Your favorite, of course! Keep in mind this is an old-fashioned BBQ, so bring your twist on the classics.
