One important volunteer “branch” at Unity of Berkeley is our Facilities Team. Headed up by the amazingly dedicated Steve Carter (pictured), this group handles building and grounds upkeep and improvements. Beautificiation projects completed by the Facilities Team include lush landscaping with California native plants and creation of a Memorial Peace Garden. Beautifying the landscape is a top priority for the team now that we’re in our new church, as well.

Key past and present members of the team are Steve and Catherine Grotenhuis, Dave and Nelline Kowbel, Dick Smith, Katie Whitner, Silvia Garrigo, Tim McGraw, Stephen Grassley, Larry Carr, Joy Curtis, Zara Wallace, Wilma Tichy, and Murray Lamp.
